Kickoff between Cal and UNLV is set for Wednesday night, December 18 at 6:00 p.m. PST at SoFi Stadium.

Completed his career as Cal’s all-time rushing leader with 3,367 yards and a 5.1 yards-per-carry average during his three years in Berkeley … key member of Bruce Snyder’s 1991 team which posted a 10-2 record and won the Citrus Bowl … first-team All-American in 1991 and two-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection … led the Bears in rushing in both 1991 (1,177 yards, 14 TDs) and 1992 (1,069) – figures that ranked sixth and ninth, respectively, on the school’s single season list at the end of his tenure … rushed for 100 yards or more 15 times in his career, tying Chuck Muncie for the Cal record … after enrolling at Cal as a Prop 48 student, graduated in four years with a social welfare degree and 3.0 cumulative GPA … drafted in the third round by the Los Angeles Rams in 1993.
Cal will play in a second consecutive bowl game for the first time since 2018-19 after participating in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl last season. The Bears defeated Illinois in the Redbox Bowl in 2019 and played in the Cheez-It Bowl in 2018. The LA Bowl will mark the fourth time Travers Family Head Football Coach Justin Wilcox has led Cal to a bowl game, and it's the 26th bowl appearance in program history. The Bears are 12-12-1 all-time in bowl games.
The Bears and Rebels have faced off just once before on the football field with Cal beating UNLV 20-14 on Sept. 10, 2022, in Berkeley.
